Mical Teja has walked away with the title of 2024 Young Kings Calypso Monarch with his hit song “DNA”.
The competition was held last night by the National Action Cultural Committee at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah.
Teja placed first ahead of Caston Cupid with “Straight from the Heart” and Dawren Greenidge with “Ah Doh Want to Do It”.
His performance began with a piece by a Pierrot Grenade before transitioning to the sound of hi-hats and the line, “When we outside, is ah ocean of love.”
