Met Office issues yellow level alerts

The Met Office has issued a yellow-level adverse-weather alert which is expected to be in effect until Wednesday night and a yellow-level riverine flood alert which is expected to be in effect until Tuesday night.

According to the Met Office, heavy rain is expected to begin on Tuesday afternoon affecting Tobago and parts of eastern Trinidad.

In a media release, it revealed that there is a 70 to 80 per cent chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms accompanied by possible gusty winds in excess of 55 km/h and street/flash flooding.
