Tobago’s Secretary of Finance, Joel Jack is anticipating over $3bn in the upcoming budget.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Jack, said finalization of draft estimates is ongoing before it is dispatched to the Finance Minister.
He says, based on last year’s $49.6bn fiscal package and the proposal to give Tobago 6.8% of the budget, he has an expectation of what may be received.
Under clause 30 of the proposed Tobago Island Government Bill, Parliament will have to allocate no less than 6.8% of the total sum appropriated by Parliament in the financial year.
In the last fiscal package, Tobago was allocated $2.134bn.
