May is T&T’s deadliest month with COVID19

The first 11 days of the month of May have been record shattering where COVID19 is concerned.

The total number of cases for the month thus far now stands at 3,008, while the number of deaths is currently at an alarming total of 55 deaths. This is based on figures taken from the daily Ministry of Health updates.

Unlike past months, COVID related deaths have also been recorded on a daily basis for this month.

The number of cases for these 11 days is well surpass the entire month of April, which according to Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds, at Monday’s MOH health briefing, had 2,798 cases.

As pointed out, May, thus far, has 3,008.

Dr Hinds had stated then, that the officials expected that the case count for this month will top that of April.
