The search is on for a man who was tased by police during an incident in St Augustine on Wednesday.
Around 5 pm on Wednesday, officers on mobile patrol along Cumberbatch Lane, St Augustine, observed a man acting in a suspicious manner.
When the officers stopped and called out to the suspect, he reportedly began advancing towards them with a piece of wood in his hands.
After the suspect ignored verbal commands to stop, one of the officers fired at the man from a spark taser, resulting in him dropping the piece of wood and rolling down a short hill along the river bank, before he ran off.
The officers chased after him but were unable to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large.
