San Juan police are continuing enquiries into a shooting in the area on Monday night, which has left a 32-year-old motorcyclist in a stable condition at hospital.
Around 9:25pm, the man was riding along the Santa Cruz Old Road, when he heard gunshots.
He later felt a burning sensation in his back and crashed into a parked car.
Passers-by saw the accident and called the police.
The man was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated for a gunshot to his lower back.
Police found and seized seven spent shells.
