Besson Street police are investigating an early morning shooting in Port of Spain which has left a 39-year-old man wounded.
Police said the man was walking on Oxford Street, around 1.30 am when a silver car drove near him and shots were fired.
The man told police he began running from the car before feeling a burning in his right leg.
Passersby took the wounded man to hospital where a bullet was removed from his right knee.
Investigators found three spent 9 mm shells and a live round of ammunition.
