Fyzabad police are investigating an attack on a labourer early Wednesday morning, which has left the victim with a gunshot wound to his face.
The victim is 31-year-old Nicholas Yorke.
The man’s wife told police that at around 5:30 am, she was preparing to leave their Deli Road home for work when she heard her husband scream.
Upon checking, she discovered her husband in the midst of a fight with a man wearing a black mask.
The suspect then shot her husband and ran off.
Yorke is now warded in a stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
