Man shot dead after working on vendor booths at QPS

A man identified as Akiel Archer was gunned down while working on building vending booths around the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday afternoon.

Archer had just reportedly finished putting up a booth on a driveway near the Savannah’s Paddock across the road from TGI Fridays at around 1.20 pm and had jumped into the tray of a brown Mazda T3500 truck when a white pickup truck drove into the path of the vehicle blocking it.

Gunmen got out of the white pickup and chased Archer who jumped out of the tray and ran into a grassy area nearby before shooting him several times, killing him.
