The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard attempted to intercept an unknown vessel suspected of crossing into TT/Venezuela international Maritime border on Sunday, 7th January.
The incident took place at around 10:25am, when the vessel was first observed south of Erin Road.
According to a release from the TTCG, a pursuit ensued, which culminated in the grounding of the unknown vessel in the Los Iros Bay area.
Quick action by the TTCG crew led to the apprehension of four adult females who were observed fleeing the scene of the grounding.
The Immigration Division and TT Police were notified and investigations are underway.
