A 36-year-old man was shot and wounded during a struggle with a gunman in Arima last night.
The victim was standing outside a wholesale store on Broadway Street, Arima, at around 9.05pm when witnesses reported seeing him fighting with a masked gunman.
A gunshot was heard and the police were notified.
Officers of the Arima Police Station went to the scene and found the man bleeding from gunshot wounds to his back.
He was taken to hospital where he remains warded.
