A 28-year-old man is dead and his friend left wounded following a shooting outside a food court in Woodbrook on Tuesday night.
Kelvin Alvin Nandram and two other men were buying food at Off the Avenue, on Carlos Street, Woodbrook at around 11.15 pm when they heard gunshots.
Nandram, who was shot, got into his white Toyota Fielder Wagon and drove off but stopped nearby on Carlos Street. The two other men, both aged 22, were also shot in the attack and ran to the back of the compound.
Nandram and the two wounded men were taken to hospital where Nandram was declared dead.
The wounded men underwent emergency surgery up to early Wednesday morning.
Police found several spent shells and a gun at the scene.
