Kamla Persad Bissessar says the UNC vindicated by Gary Griffith ruling

Opposition leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says her United National Congress (UNC) is vindicated by the court’s ruling on the unconstitutionality of the appointment of acting Police Commissioner Mc Donald Jacob and Gary Griffith.
The ruling was made in the High Court today.
Persad-Bissessar said the judgement vindicates the position that they had taken on the matter.
She said the judgement means that both the 09 order and the 21 order, selection process orders, were ultra vires, illegal and unconstitutional.
Speaking at a conference after the decision was made public, the UNC head said several questions have now been raised relative to the matter.
Among the questions are ones she previously raised; who did former chair of the Police Service Commission, Bliss Seepersad, meet with at the Office of the President on August 12 to hand over a merit list for a substantive top cop?
She also inquired if the letter to the President that initially mentioned a permanent officer was changed to an acting CoP and on whose authority?
