Jamaica records 673 Covid-19 cases in one day

Jamaica’s virus numbers climbed by 673 yesterday as the country recorded the death of 14 more patients — nine confirmed as COVID-related and five under investigation.

The Jamaica Observer reported that today’s current figure pushed the island’s confirmed cases to 35,338 and the confirmed death toll to 533.

According to Jamaica’s Ministry of Health and Wellness, the newly confirmed deaths include a 72-year-old male, an 82-year-old female, a 61-year-old male, an 81-year-old male, a 75-year-old female and a 31-year-old male, all from Kingston and St Andrew.

A 90-year-old female from St Thomas, a 69-year-old male from St James and a 62-year-old female from Trelawny are also among the latest deaths.
