The internal probe into the premature deaths of several babies at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Port of Spain General Hospital is proceeding.
Health Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh, gave this update when asked in the Senate on Monday if the parents of the babies who died at the N.I.C.U. have been given permission to have their own representative on the investigation team.
Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, wanted to know if consideration was being given for external input on the matter.
PAHO, Cariri and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer are part of the investigative team.
However, in his response, Minister Deyalsingh said he has been advised the internal investigation is going on as is established practise.
