Indian Premier League: Lucknow Super Giants Trump Rajasthan Royals By 10 Runs

West Indies players Kyle Mayers and Nicholas Pooran’s Indian Premier League team, Lucknow Super Giants, won their game today against Rajasthan Royals by ten runs.

The victory leaves Giants second on the IPL standing with six points.

They have won four matches and lost two.

Royals are also on six points but have a better net run rate.

Set 155 to win, Royals reached 144 for 6 from 20 overs.

They were restricted by Avesh Khan who took 3 for 25 runs from 4 overs.

Marcus Stonis captured 2 for 28 from 2 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal top scored for Royals with 44 runs which came off 35 balls and including four boundaries and two sixes.

Opener and West Indies player Kyle Mayers of Barbados scored his third half century in the Indian Premier League with an innings of 51 runs for Lucknow Super Giants.

Batting first Mayers top scored in the innings hitting four boundaries and three sixes.

Another West Indian player Nicholas Pooran contributed 29 runs before he was run out off 20 balls cracking two fours and one six in the process.

Giants reached 154 for 7 off the allotted 20 overs.
