Citizens Are Being Encouraged To Make Use Of The National Care Fair.

Citizens are being encouraged to make use of the National Care Fair which comes off at six facilities across Trinidad and Tobago on Friday and Saturday between 9am and 3pm.

Senior Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist, Dr Joanne Paul, speaking with the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital on Thursday, said the event is being held to help the population pay closer attention to their health, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The facilities are the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago at El Dorado, Sangre Grande Civic Center, University of Trinidad and Tobago, Monroe Road, Chaguanas, Southern Academy For the Performing Arts, San Fernando and in Tobago, Low Lands Mall.

Dr Paul said a range of health checks and tests will be carried out at the event.

The National Care Fair has the backing of the Ministry of Health, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development in the Tobago House of Assembly, the Ministry of National Youth Development and National Service, non-governmental organizations and the IDB.

Dr Paul said people must not compromise their physical health and wellness.
