Police have confirmed the identities of the two women, who were found dead in an apartment in Tobago on Wednesday evening, as 34-year-old Shevonne Moffat (pictured above) and 62-year-old Gemma Alexis.

Both women lived at Bottom Road, Arnos Vale Road, Woodlands, Moriah.

They were found in an apartment building along Arnos Vale Road in Woodlands, Tobago, around 6pm last evening by the landlord.

Alexis was found lying on her back on the bed.  She was wearing a white night gown. Meanwhile, Mofatt was discovered lying on her side with her head on Alexis’ lap.

Both women were last seen alive on Christmas Eve.

A District Medical Officer pronounced them dead on the scene and ordered that their bodies be removed and transferred to the Scarborough General Hospital.

The women’s deaths have not yet been classified.

An autopsy is expected to be conducted on them both, to determine the cause of death.
