Heritage Petroleum Company responds to reports of hydrocarbon sightings at beaches along the southwest coast.
The source of the hydrocarbon is yet to be determined.
The company’s Incident Management Team has been initiated.
A Heritage Spill Response Team has been dispatched to undertake clean-up activities.
Company officials are also engaging the local community.
The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries , the Environmental Management Authority and other marine stakeholders have been notified of the incident.
