Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, says the level of COVID-19 vaccine acceptance is good in Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Deyalsingh made the comment at a news briefing this afternoon.
Minister Deyalsingh also received his first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
The Health Minister said day one of the national roll out of the vaccine went relatively smoothly.
Minister Deyalsingh said the Office of the Prime Minister will keep the nation informed on the progress of Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, who the OPM said tested positive for COVID-19.
The OPM said the Prime Minister began experiencing flu symptoms Monday evening and subsequently tested for COVID-19.
The OPM said Dr. Rowley is in isolation and is under medical supervision.
