The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has called on the residents of Maloney Gardens to make a report to the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) regarding the police destruction of property.
The HDC, in a release, has acknowledged it received approximately 12 complaints from Maloney residents that their doors and windows were damaged and/or destroyed during a police operation on Sunday 14th May 2023.
The residents said their homes were broken into, damaged, and ransacked during the joint exercise by police and soldiers on Sunday.
They said at least 50 officers entered the area and in some instances, they used a sledgehammer to break open a door before entering.
