Dr Fuad Khan has commented on the latest call for internal elections in the United National Congress.
Chaguanas West Member of Parliament (MP) Dinesh Rambally issued a stern call at a press conference last Friday for the United National Congress executives to announce the party’s internal elections date with immediate effect.
Dr Khan said that the call being made by Rambally and others for internal elections will do nothing for them, but ultimately lead to their political demise.
He said they are already being labeled PNM puppets.
He maintained if they choose to fight an internal election they are doomed to fail.
He said in order for them to maintain their political life they would have to either resign and fight the seat like Jack Warner did or go to the back bench as an indepenent UNC member away from the Chief Whip.
