Food operators and customers urged to exercise caution from Monday

With the restaurant and food industry set to resume operations on Monday, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has issued a warning to citizens, to act responsibly in the coming weeks.

During his media briefing on Saturday, Rowley said, “I want to caution you, go enjoy your food and restaurant food and so on, but please as you do so – do not congregate.”

He added, “You may be in a line, you may be in a group, but spread out. Stay six feet away from the person in front of you and we will all be happy you’re getting your favourite meal, but safely.”

He admitted that government does not want to risk reopening too quickly, leading to a new wave of infections.
