A fire was reported at the Drag/People’s Mall on Frederick Street.
Fire officials received the troubled call after midnight.
Reports state around 12.01 am, a security guard at the Tax Appeal Board office on Frederick Street, noticed smoke coming from one of the booths and called the police, who then notified officers of the Fire Headquarters, Wrightson Road.
They were able to extinguish the fire, which originated out of Booth 26, which was completely destroyed.
Another booth next door was partially damaged.
