A man who was one of four suspects involved in a robbery at a Lotto booth in Cocorite on Thursday has been arrested.
Following the robbery the individual was involved in an accident in the vicinity of the Hasely Crawford Stadium and then later arrested at the Piarco International Airport while waiting to board an International Flight.
A GML report said that the man from Diego Martin was in the International departure lounge of the airport when he was detained by officers.
The suspect is now detained at the Four Roads Police Station.
The car the suspects were in, crashed into a panel van near the Movie Towne traffic lights along the Audrey Jeffers Highway on the Eastbound lane.
Three suspects, ages 18, 20, and 21 were detained while the fourth managed to elude capture, however he is now in custody after he attempted to flee the country.
