Fire destroyed two apartments in Crown Point, Tobago, last night, leaving 10 people homeless, among them, three minors.
Residents of Palm Eagles Drive off Store Bay Local Road, reported hearing a loud explosion around 9:43pm and then observed smoke coming from a bedroom on the southern side of the house.
An alarm was raised and the house was immediately evacuated.
Fire officials led by DFO Jacob arrived and extinguished the blaze, however, the two-storey home was destroyed.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Initial investigations state the fire may have been the result of an electricial issue.
