Finance Minister, Colm Imbert has given the assurance that government will be going all out to improve the lives of those in need come 2023.
In a holiday greeting posted on twitter, Imbert said citizens can look forward to a much better year next year than previous years. as this country’s financial situation has been improving and will continue to do so in 2023.
He said: “We are going to be doing all that we can as a Government, and me, as Minister of Finance, to distribute as much of the national wealth as we possibly can to those who really need it.”
“So, 2023 is going to be the year when we will go all out to use our improved financial situation to help those most in need and then help everyone whether you are working class, whether you are middle class, or whether you are in business,” he said.
Imbert recently announced that the country had, for the first time in 14 years, achieved a fiscal surplus, the first since 2007/2008.
