Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, says the government will do more intense checks and balances to ensure there is no abuse of the various COVID-19 relief measures implemented.
Speaking at news this afternoon, Minister Imbert said in the first round of COVID -19 financial help the government provided evidence of fraud was found.
However, Minister Imbert assured this time around all will be done to avoid a reoccurrence of the development.
On another matter, the Finance Minister warned action will be taken against employers who fail to adhere with certain requirements such as NIS payments.
