Media reports say the car of South Africa’s ex-president, Jacob Zuma, was hit by a drunk driver.
It said Mr Zuma was unhurt.
A statement from the police said “no-one was injured, including members of the Presidential Protection Services.
The former president was evacuated and taken to his residence,”.
The crash took place the same day the country’s electoral commission said Mr Zuma was barred from running as a candidate in the May 29th general election.
Eighty –one year old Mr Zuma, served as President from 2009 until 2018.
He stepped down due to corruption allegations which he denies.
