Dr Nyan Gadsby – Dolly: “Treat both vaccinated and unvaccinated students equally!”

Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby Dolly has made a call for all students to treated equally come Monday despite their vaccine status.
All Secondary school students in Forms 4-6 will be returning to physical classes on Monday, October 25, regardless of vaccination status.
She indicated that she had not heard from the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association with reference to the revised policy for forms 4 – 6 students.
She did reveal that other stakeholders expressed their satisfaction as they had called for a return to physical schooling for both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.
The Minister disclosed that given the fact that the announcement was made at short notice further guidelines were to be given to principals and teachers.
She noted this would include a relaxation of the dress code for students.
She denied that the decision is a tactic to force parents to vaccinate their children, rather one to respect their children.
