A 55-year-old man and a 68-year-old man died in Florida while preparing their homes for Hurricane Dorian’s arrival.
In the first incident, the 55 year-old man fell from a tree while trying to cut its branches as he storm-proofed his home ahead of Dorian’s landfall on Monday. The man is reported to have climbed 15 feet with a chainsaw, and attempted to position himself in the tree when he fell. He did not use a ladder.
In the second incident, 68-year-old David Bradley was attempting to install plywood on the windows outside of his condominium on Sunday, when he fell from three stories high and died. According to Police, Bradley may have suffered a cardiac episode while installing the plywood since he was standing on a ladder in a covered balcony when he fell.
