A Diego Martin couple was arrested and a firearm and a quantity of marijuana seized by officers of the Western Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district yesterday.
The exercise, coordinated by Snr. Supt. Kelvern Thompson, ASP Baird, Insp. Reyes and Insp. (Ag.) Grant, was conducted by officers of the Western Division Task Force around 6pm on Tuesday 19th January, 2021.
During the exercise, officers executed a search warrant at the Roxborough Extension home of a 36-year-old male suspect. The search resulted in officers finding one Glock pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and 1.12 kilogrammes of compressed marijuana in the house. The drug has an estimated street value of $11,200.
The suspect and a 34-year-old woman, who were found in the house at the time of the exercise were arrested.
Investigations are ongoing.
