Parents have been complaining about the high cost of books on their children’s book lists.
They say due to this many children may be without items on their booklists including needed books.
They say they simply cannot afford the books as prices are too high.
At a media conference on Sunday President of the Movement for Social Justice David Abdullah said the solution is a simple one.
He also referred to the weight of the textbooks, saying that it could be a health hazard for students.
He said the Education Ministry has a major role to play in making text books electronically available to students.
