A 52-year-old Cunupia woman died tragically on the nation’s roadway on Friday.
Seeta Jagroop, of Mount Plasir Road, Cunupia, was waiting on a taxi at Washington Junction, Southern Main Road, Caroni around 11:50am, when she saw a trailer truck careening out of control.
However, while attempting to escape the runaway truck, she was still struck head on by the vehicle and thrown several feet away in some bushes.
Jagroop died instantly.
The truck ran off the road and overturned, leaving the driver with a broken leg.
Investigations are continuing.
