Chaguanas teen latest road fatality

Even as the TTPS gets ready to implement its “aggressive, high-visibility and traffic enforcement campaign” this week, one Chaguanas teenager died during an early morning accident.

17-year-old Jeremiah Prince was the back seat passenger of a car which crashed into a wall near Warrenville along the Uriah Butler Highway. He died after he was ejected from the car following the impact. Reports indicate he was not wearing his seatbelt.

Last week the TTPS noted that many of the accidents on the road could be avoided if citizens followed the road traffic rules, one of which, includes wearing seat belts.

Investigations are continuing into the death of the teenager.
