CEPEP worker critical after being attacked and chopped by husband

A female CEPEP employee survived an attempt on her life on Monday morning (June 24 2024).

Around 6:40 am, Kadeisha Weston-Ransome was working along Contention Road in Indian Walk when she was accosted by a man said to be her husband.

The woman attempted to run away but her attacker managed to deal her several chopping blows.

Reports state that Weston-Ransome sustained wounds to her head and arms. Her attacker then attempted to take his own life.

They both were taken to the Princes Town Health Facility, then later transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital.

The woman is said to be warded in a critical condition, while the husband is under police guard.
