Cabinet Urged To Give Fitting Tribute To Martin Terry Rondon

Cabinet is being asked to consider renaming Matelot Community College, the Valencia to Toco Highway and the Toco Regional Complex after the late long serving member, Martin Terry Rondon.

The proposal comes from former Chairman of the Sangre-Grande Regional Corporation, Anil Juteram, during the funeral service for Mr Rondon at St Charles Roman Catholic Church, Tunapuna, Wednesday.

Juteram cited the positive impact Rondon made and had on his life and people of various disciplines and back ground.

He asked for these attributes to be displayed by all politicians.

Juteram then put forward a recommendation to cabinet for a review of his proposals to rename two buildings and a highway opened earleir this year  as a means to honour and recognise the contribution of Rondon over his years of public service life.
