Brazil football team secured their spot into the knock out stage of the FIFA World Cup with a 1-0 win against Switzerland in their Group G encounter today from Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar.
Casemiro scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute.
This was Casemiro’s sixth goal for Brazil.
Brazil defeated Serbia 2-0 in their opening match.
In other games today, Ghana won 3-2 against South Korea in Group H World Cup football action at Education City Stadium in Qatar.
In the 24th minute of play Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana the lead.
Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus made it 2-0 in the 34th with the second goal.
However, South Korea made their way back into the game with two goals from Cho Gue-sung in the 58th and 61st minutes.
Cameroon came back from two goals down and played to a 3 all draw against Serbia in Group G today.
They took the lead through Jean-Charles Castelletto in the 29 minute.
Pavlovic and Savic brought Ghana back in the match with goals in injury time.
However, Aboubakar in the 63’minute Choupo-Moting in the 66’minutes ensured Cameroon found their way back in into the game.
Mitrovic curled a shot wide in the closing moments after being teed up by Dusan Tadic.
Meanwhile, Portugal will face Uruguay in today’s final game at 3 this afternoon.
