Recruitment of forty more officers, strengthening ties with farmers groups and getting three more vehicles, these are some measures being taken to strengthen the Praedial Larceny Squad.
The move comes on the heels of reports of the large scale looting of farmers’ crops and livestock.
Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Kazim Hosein, told the Senate that within the next two months there should be improvement in compliment of officers.
Minister Hosein also had some advice for members of the public encouraging them to refrain from looting of crops and animals.
