Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi, is recommending there be amendments to allow the Police Complaints Authority improved monitoring of Special Reserve Police Officers.
The AG made the suggestion during debate in the parliament this afternoon the Miscellaneous Provisions Special Reserve Police and Police Complaints Authority Bill, 2020.
Attorney General Al Rawi also suggested changes are made which give the PCA more power.
However, Opposition Member of Parliament for Naparima, Rodney Charles, said the PCA needs a boost its operations.
