AG Guarded In Explanation Of Disruption At Port Of Spain Office Amid Investigations.

Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi, was very guarded in his explanation of what occurred at his Port of Spain Office on Monday, stating that the incident is being probed by the Police Service and the Fire Service.

Speaking at a news briefing, Mr Al Rawi said at this time he and staff have been locked out of the AG’s office as the Police and Fire Services investigate a device that was found in a car park just next to their building which shattered glass on the sixth floor of the Office of the Attorney General.

Mr Al Rawi said full details of this particular matter will be given by the relevant authorities, including the Commissioner of Police and the Minister of National Security.

The AG said the Office has been cleared, the streets cordoned off and investigations are continuing into what he described as a serious disruption of services at the Ministry of the Attorney General, Registrar General’s Office, etc.

The AG said he will not reach any conclusions on the development until the investigative authorities have had a chance to treat  with that matter.
