UNC questions PNM convention numbers?

While the PNM boasted that their convention at the Queens Park Savannah attracted a massive 18,750 registered participants the UNC countered on social media referencing Kenny De Silva while he was NCC Chairman in 2011: “He said Carnival patrons can look forward to an enhanced facility, with the Grand Stand now able to accommodate an additional 2500 patrons-up to 7,500 from the previous seating capacity of 5,000 patrons”

The social media post was being shared to discount the PNM’s assertion of over 18,000 at it’s convention.

PNM Party general secretary Foster Cummings announced that there were 18,750 registered attendees with the highest from Toco/Sangre Grande followed by Laventille East/Morvant and then Arouca/Maloney.
