Marijuana trees worth approximately TT$3 million were destroyed by officers of the South Western Division Task Force, during a marijuana eradication exercise conducted in the Point Fortin area yesterday.
Officers proceeded to a bushy area off the Point Fortin Field Road, where they conducted a search and found 3,000 fully grown marijuana trees and 1,200 seedlings. The plants were subsequently uprooted.
Police are continuing investigations.
