An 80-year-old man identified as Phillip Rocke was found dead at the side of the roadway in Santa Cruz on Thursday.
However, a post mortem has been ordered to confirm the cause of death.
Rocke, who resided at the Purple Velvet Geriatric Nursing Home along the Saddle Road, Santa Cruz, was found dead yesterday morning in a drain at the side of the roadway.
He was last seen around 4am that day and officials suspect that he left the home to take a walk and fell into the drain.
Rocke suffered from seizures and hypertension.
The body bore minor marks of violence, however, police are not sure if they were sustained during the fall.
