A 54-year-old man was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 with a surety when he appeared before Magistrate Amina Deonarinesingh at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on November 16th this year.
The accused was charged with one count of Sexual Touching and is expected to reappear in court on December, 4th 2022.
According to a police report, sometime between 30th April 2018 and 1st June 2018, a minor was asleep at the home of a relative, and was awoken, when the male relative allegedly touched her inappropriately.
The matter was reported on August 26th, 2022 to the Child Protection Unit San Fernando.
WPC Ramroop conducted an investigation, which resulted in the arrest of a man, who was charged on November 16th, 2022.
