Defending World Cup Champs, France, Makes Impressive 4-0 Win Against Australia

World Cup champions France, began their campaign in Qatar on an impressive start with a four-nil win against Australia, on Tuesday.

In the 90th minute Craig Goodwin scored Australia’s lone goal.

However, France demonstrated their authority with goals in the 27 minute of play through Adrien Rabiot, Olivier Giroud in the 32nd and 71 minutes and Kylian Mbappé in the 68th minute of action.

In Tuesday’s opening match, Saudi Arabia upset two time World Cup champions Argentina with a 2-1 win in Group C action.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring for Argentina in the 10th minute scoring from the penalty spot.

However, Saudi Arabia got goals from Al-Shehri in the 48th minute of play placing the ball to the bottom corner of Emi Martinez’s net.

In the 53rd minute, Salem Al Dawsari , scored a beautiful goal finding the top of the net.

Argentina face Mexico on Saturday, while Saudi Arabia take on Poland.

In the second match, Denmark was held to a nil-nil draw by Tunisia in their Group D World Cup opener at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

It was also a similar score line in the match between Mexico and Poland, a Group C game.
