Muller: DPP committed to addressing criminal justice issues

Advocate, Nazma Muller, says Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, has given his assurance to do what he can to help address challenges in the criminal justice system.

Ms Muller says the DPP gave the commitment during a meeting a team of advocates held with him on Wednesday.
The meeting lasted almost two hours.

Others present at the meeting were Dr Wayne Kublalsingh, Executive Director of the Caribbean Centre for Human Rights and justice advocates Elizabeth Solomon and Adrian Gokool.

Speaking with News Power Now Thursday afternoon, Ms Muller gave more details on how the discussions went.

A news briefing will be held today at 10am outside the Office of the Attorney General to inform the public about the discussion and the way forward.
