12 Central Division officers commended for outstanding work

Twelve officers each received a Certificate of Commendation, for their exceptional performance of duty, whilst on Active Direct Patrol.

The commendations which were awarded on Thursday 12th January, are part of a pilot programme called Accelerated Awards Patrols Programme, that was initiated by the Commissioner of Police, designed to support Active Direct Patrols. The commendation ceremony covered the period September to December 2022.

During the ceremony, Commissioner of Police (Ag.) Erla Christopher commended the officers for their outstanding work and team effort. She further praised and reminded the officers that their role is very, if not most important in the crime fighting process.

The Acting CoP shared that while the plans are made and laid out, they are the ones on the ground getting the work done and bringing forth successes. Commissioner Ag Christopher implored the officers to continue the fight against criminal activities and the scourge of crime in the country.

DCP Intelligence and Investigations, Curt Simon was also present and praised the officers, all of whom he said he knew as he served in the Central Division for a number of years. DCP Simon shared that the level of gallantry and commitment to duty cannot and will not go unnoticed, as it brings a sense pride to the Executive, and by extension the organization.
