10,600 barrels of hydrocarbon substance collected from overturned vessel in Tobago thus far

The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) says 10,600 barrels of the hydrocarbon substance leaking out of the overturned vessel have been collected so far.

That figure is up until Saturday.

TEMA says a total of 20 fracktanks are currently on the island, to help collect oil from in and around the vessel, as well as the coastline.

It also assures that dedicated teams are on the ground and unwavering in their commitment to containing the oil and persisting with cleanup efforts.
