Work continues apace at the North Stand of the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain in spite of reports of the disappearance of steel beams for the construction of the stand.
Chairman of the National Carnival Commission, Winston Gypsy Peters, did not go into the specifics of the setbacks when he spoke in an interview with Power 102 Digital on Tuesday.
However, Mr Peters explained progress is being made on the project.
Questioned on which aspect of carnival will get the majority of funding, Mr Peters said the allocation will be used across a variety of areas to help ensure standards are maintained.
